Yes, that one did catch my eye yesterday. What I would say to zionists like Ted Cruz is that Genesis 12, if the ancient nation of Israel were blessed before even Jacob was born, then all of the seed of Abraham would have been blessed. Ishmael, where we eventually get islam, would have been blessed. Esau (Edom), where we get modern Palestinians, would have been blessed.

However, that is not the case. The real promise given to Israel is in Deuteronomy 30. If they will obey the law, they will be blessed. If they desecrate the law, they will be cursed. The sinful nature of all men had soon led ancient Israel to become cursed.

I know that this article opens up a lot of the issues for us but it is time to go the whole way. There is ample evidence of what happened on 9/11. The attack on the Twin Towers was an inside job. The CIA, under the control of the Israeli Secret Service; Mossad carried out the attacks in order to get the American public to support the forthcoming war in Iraq.

McGlinchy is an Arabist/jihadi apologist...It's the insane policies promoted by the Arab Lobby and the jihad in the US State Department that causes and encourages Islamist enemies. Note the Trillion dollars spent in Iraq and the Trillion dollars spent in Afghanistan....that is direct spending without the incidental sum analysis that should be laid at the Arabist/jihad policy department. Also the reason for foreign aid to Israel is because Israel fights with it's people. Now look at all our bases and men in Europe Japan and Korea...The whole alliance with those countries is far more expensive than the direct costs for Israel don't forget the Philipines and Australia either. We in the free west are fighting two scourges the Communists and the Islamists. Both the Commies and the Jihad have infiltrated our political and military institutions. McGlinchy is one of their shills who supports the Jihad.

The number of Americans who "support" Israel appears to be dropping.....especially in some corners of the Evangelical Christian community. It's really wonderful to see. More and more people are waking up to the fact that the modern Zionist state of Israel is not the peaceful innocent God-fearing little "David" who's fighting "Goliath". The modern state of Israel is NOT the Israel of the Bible. That's the big trick.

Why do most American Christians think this way? Mostly, we can thank the Cyrus Scofield Reference Bible for fooling several generations of American Christians by perverting Bible verses like Genesis 12:3. "And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed."

Most Evangelical Christians and raging Zionists like Ted Cruz, Mike Huckabee, Pastor Hagee, Pat Robertson, and Sean Hannity mistakingly think that "Thee" is referring to Jews and the modern Zionist State of Israel. This is NOT true.

In Galatians 3:16 Apostle Paul clarifies this issue by saying...."Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is CHRIST." Abrahams "seed" is NOT the U.N. created modern secular Zionist State of Israel. Abraham's "seed" is NOT the Jews. Abraham's "seed" IS CHRIST. His "seed" are CHRISTIANS.

Meanwhile, anyone who has even a modest level of knowledge regarding most Jews, Judaism, or the modern state of Israel, knows that they deny Jesus Christ as the Messiah. They're ANTI-Christ. Try going to Israel today and preach about Christ and see what happens to you. You'll be spit on and likely arrested.

The bottom line is this.......the Jews were not supposed to return to the Promised Land unless they accepted Jesus Christ and His New Covenant. Did they do that in 1948? No. Instead of God leading the Jews back to Palestine, secular Zionists and the United Nations (under the COVER of religion) brought back the Jews to their ancient land. Men brought Jews en masse back to Palestine, not God. They went AGAINST God.

Since it's creation in 1948, America has "blessed" the State of Israel with money, manpower, technology, and even our own blood. Do you think we've had God's blessings bestowed upon us since then? Look at the decline in American society since 1948. Hedonism, drug use, crime, abortions, divorce, poverty, secularism, anxiety & depression......have ALL increased exponentially since we started "blessing" Israel.

I think we've been cursed.....

“ The modern state of Israel is NOT the Israel of the Bible.”. You err not knowing the Scriptures, nor the power of God. Matt:22:29. Shall a nation be born at once Isaiah 66:8 KJV - for as soon as Zion travailed, she brought forth her children. Think Holocaust and 1948 formation event. Ezekiel 20:34 KJV - And I will bring you out from the people, and will gather you out of the countries wherein ye are scattered, with a mighty hand, and with a stretched out arm, and with fury poured out. Israel was reconstituted and brought back to Judea in “unbelief” in Messiah Yeshua. Romans 9:6 KJV - Not as though the word of God hath taken none effect. For they are not all Israel, which are of Israel: So remnant unbelieving secular Israel has some trouble ahead. The Time of Jacob’s Trouble approaches. Romans 9:27 KJV - Esaias also crieth concerning Israel, Though the number of the children of Israel be as the sand of the sea, a remnant shall be saved: During the time of Jacob’s trouble a remnant of Jews will be saved. Who are they? The are the remnant believers: Revelation 12:17 KJV - And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ. and so: Revelation 20:4 KJV - And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years. Do you know the power of God Most High?

It's always difficult to have a rational discussion of the US-Israel relationship with people whose steadfast support for Israel springs from misguided religious angles, including the "those who bless Israel will be blessed" claim. However, you're onto something here in juxtaposing US support for Israel since 1948 against America's decline over the same period. Thank you for sharing that.

Gregory Wilson's avatar

So you, a lawyer and secular humanist, find people who support Israel as irrational misguided religious “angles”? So one of the misguided angles is Genesis 12:1-3 KJV - Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father's house, unto a land that I will shew thee:

2 And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing:

3 And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed. Have have all the families of earth “been blessed” with Abraham’s seed, that is Christ, the Son of Promise. Hebrews 11:17-19 KJV - By faith Abraham, when he was tried, offered up Isaac: and he that had received the promises offered up his only begotten son,

18 Of whom it was said, That in Isaac shall thy seed be called:

19 Accounting that God was able to raise him up, even from the dead; from whence also he received him in a figure. The “stark reality” of your response above suggests the promised blessing of salvation in Christ has not been visited upon your open and inquiring mind. Matthew 17:20 KJV - Because of your unbelief: for verily I [Christ] say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.

Well written, I do agree with much of it. A bit off topic, but the man known as "Mohammed Atta" seems to have been a man that laughed quite a lot when he was in Florida partying with strippers, booze, and cocaine for well over a year; maybe the Florida sun just does something to a man and makes a stone jolly...

Sorry to have to rain on your parade but your screed has clearly not considered the following items, some of which are intangible and not able to be transferred into a monetary figure. SAD!

Q. What benefits does the US receive from the aid it provides to Israel?

A. The United States receives several key benefits from the aid it provides to Israel:

1. Israel serves as a stable democratic ally and anchor of stability in the volatile Middle East region, allowing the US to advance its interests and counter threats more effectively.[1]

2. A significant portion of the aid (over 75%) is spent on purchasing US military equipment and services, boosting the American economy and supporting thousands of high-quality jobs across the country.[1]

3. Close military cooperation and intelligence sharing between the US and Israel helps enhance American security capabilities in areas like counterterrorism, missile defense, and cybersecurity. Israel has pioneered cutting-edge military technologies that benefit the US.[1][3]

4. The US maintains access to strategically located stockpiles of weapons and equipment in Israel through the War Reserves Stock Allies-Israel program for potential use by American forces in the region.[1]

5. Providing aid to Israel helps maintain its qualitative military edge over potential adversaries, deterring regional conflicts and promoting stability in line with US interests.[1][2][3]

6. The aid fosters ongoing collaboration between US and Israeli defense industries, facilitating valuable research, development, and sharing of expertise that enhances American national security capabilities.[3]

In essence, the aid strengthens the US-Israel strategic alliance, bolsters American influence and deterrence in the Middle East, supports the US defense industry, and provides tangible security benefits to the United States.[1][2][3]

It looks like you outsourced your argumentation to an AI engine. Thanks for including the sources, though. It's beyond ridiculous to assert that Israel is an "anchor of stability" in the region, and naturally the source for that doozie is the principal pro-Israel lobbying group in the United States, AIPAC.

Jojo's avatar

I did use an AI. Everyone should. Very few of us have the resources or knowledge to write deeply on ANY subject. In past decades, you might go to the library and read numerous books, periodicals, etc. Up until a few years ago, you could have spent days wandering through articles that other people have written, cobbling together pieces of info. Nowadays, we turn to AI's, which is why Google search is effectively dead.

So, is there something in the response that you find to be not factual?

Had you used an AI to "assist" with your research, you would have been able to present a much more accurate article that would have covered all bases.

As to whether Israel is an "anchor of stability" in the Middle East, everything is relative.

You should know that Israel had a $500 billion GDP and per capita GDP of $58k or so, all far higher than every other country in that area, excepting the small oil rich countries. They also are a stable democracy, even if YOU and others do not agree with who they have elected.

Meanwhile, all of the surrounding countries are dictatorships of one sort or another.

Sprumford's avatar

Most of those "benefits" are dubious at best.......now do the negative consequences for the U.S.'s aid to Israel.

Jojo's avatar

"Most of those "benefits" are dubious at best.......now do the negative consequences for the U.S.'s aid to Israel."

Your post is dubious, at best. As to the second part of your response, you DO know how to use an AI to ask such questions, yes?

When I read that according to you, 9/11 was done by the Arabs, I stopped reading. ...... Oh but,but,but.. they found the paAsspoOrt, on Ground Zero, "incinshed", RIGHT?!?!?!?!?!

Yet the Steel Towers, 1000s of tones of steel melted into a big turd, but the passport was "unharmed", along with the MOSSAD scumbags who were dancing on top of the roof of the building across the street just day or 2 before....

By claiming such cr*p, you just discredited the entire article. You didn't know that Bin Laden was a CIA asset?!?!? ....what do you exactly know?! ....And BTW, the Seals didn't kill him either. He died during a kidney dialysis Procedure in Canada 3 years prior to that. Here's a tip, most of the Seals who were claimed to have participated in that operation were shot down in a single Chinook by the Taliban, Key word "Extortion 17". The M Fers parking their filthy asses on top of this country's face Know how to tie up their loose ends, don't they?!?!?!...

amazing that this can be written leaving out the arab oil embargo of 73. it cost US over the years maybe ten trillion . the US NEVER recovered from the embargo only to keep the lights on with a 37 trillion deficit

Brian McGlinchey's avatar

Thank you for adding that very noteworthy item to the ledger -- I'll keep it in mind for future writing.

SPQR70AD's avatar

it is a good man that doesnt think he is a know it all and uses facts when presented with them. every day you as well as me can learn. the US economy right after the embargo went into 25% or more inflation and interest rates. it came near destroying the US car industry with the shock of massively high energy costs and EPA regs.

US cars were junk for 15 years and it took ronnie raygun to start massive deficits to artificially get the economy "going". this is not widely publicized because it makes the jews who own the media look bad you know like the epstein files

Brian, not convinced...at all. I can see why you would lose subscribers.

From the get go, Israel has been surrounded by nations and religions wanting them dead...for simply existing. Just think about how much money EVERYBODY would have saved if we had just let that happen.

Never mind the fact that the surrounding nations and religions tend to shoot each other when not focused on shooting Israel. Charming lot. In fact, I'm hard pressed to find an example of sustained civil existence of any country or religion in the region.

Wars are ugly and certainly not perfect. I can point out a few things the US has done wrong over the years. But then again, we haven't had every single one of our neighbors single mindedly trying t rub us out of existence throughout our history.

So, yeah, supporting Israel costs more money than most would guess. Any guesses how much that would be if I could wave a magic wand and end all nations trying to end the existence of Israel?

Until that magic wand exists, hopefully the Abraham Accords reduces our expenditures.

jim's avatar

You have a rather selective history of Israel in mind. Perhaps you are unaware that the Stern Gang, Irgun, and other Jewish terrorist groups were attacking both the Arabs and the British prior to WW2. Have you never heard of the King David Hotel bombing?

The fact is that Israel was founded by terrorists. Menachem Begin was a member of the Irgun, for instance. He wrote about racial hatred towards the British, who were considered to be an inferior race.

As for the rest, so what? Armenia is surrounded by Muslim countries that are continually attacking it. I don't see you or any other Israel-firster advocating support for the Armenians.

Tell me, who runs Blackrock? Name them, along with their ethnicities. Now go through all the major banks, the film studios, the advertising agencies, the publishing houses, etc. Then start on the federal cabinet, the NGOs, etc. You'll find a pattern.

Tell me, who were the Colonial Secretaries Joseph Chamberlain and Winston Churchill who actually created the State of Israel?

Who was Sen. Scoop Jackson, who started the project after 1967 to use Israel as a way to prevent the MidEast from "going Soviet"?

And tell me, who was FJB who repeated the below mantra in Congress for decades?

"Were there not an Israel, the United States of America would have to invent an Israel to protect our interests in the region"

X comprises a mere 2.5% of society. X wields grossly disproportionate influence over society. X's interests are trumpeted far and wide inside the halls of Congress, Hollywood, Big Business, the military, intelligence agencies, mainstream media, academia, NGOs, and the Two Respectable Political Parties.

Sure enough, wide swathes of non-X start to identify X's interests with their own. Those who don't are tarred as racists and anti-Xists. Before long, the "anti-Xists" face fines and prison sentences for simply questioning whether their interests correspond with X's.

How did we get here? Easy enough given X's deep-pockets legacy of bribing and blackmailing non-X to advance the interests of X. For more on this, please see Jeffrey Epstein's flight log.
